FUNCTION: To assure that product meets customer requirements. Incoming, in-process and final inspection of uncoated and coated optics. Dimensional, Environmental and optical measurements using instruments including micrometer, caliper, height gage, dial indicator CMM, autocollimator, interferometer, and spectrophotometer. Operate humidity and temperature chambers along with performing destructive testing to optics. Read drawings (including GD&T), procedures, and process documentation. Make accurate and consistent decisions and judgments regarding component acceptability. Assemble documentation and keep records. Clean and package components for shipment and stock.
Education: High School required, math competency.
Experience:3 years mechanical measurement experience.
Special Abilities:Attention to detail, patience, consistent judgment, good personal interactions. Manual dexterity with small delicate parts. Good visual acuity and microscope skills. Good hand-eye coordination. Accurate typing skills. Familiar with blue print reading including Geometric dimensioning and toleranceing (GD&T), Skilled in the use of mechanical measurement equipment (caliper, micrometer, comparator, height gage, bore and block gages, coordinate measurement machine, shadow Graphs).
