REQUIREMENTS: High School diploma or GED. Basic computer operating experience required. A non-technical degree is a plus. Three years manufacturing experience required. Related manufacturing or trades experience preferred.
Experience:YAG Growth Technician I is a hands-on technical manufacturing position, with broad responsibility as “owner-operator” of our state of the art manufacturing equipment.
The Growth Technician I is a hands-on manufacturing position that has broad responsibility as either the principal operator of crystal growth equipment, welding equipment, fabrication equipment, or as a skilled tradesperson providing some critical service in support of the growth operation. This position also carries responsibility for routine monitoring and maintenance of growth equipment, support equipment, and infrastructure components. The incumbent is expected to complete duties with minimal guidance or supervision, and to take the initiative in providing support and assistance to other YAG Team members. The position requires intervention at odd hours as crystal growth is a 24-7 operation with high emphasis on producing results. Must have excellent visual activity and manual dexterity. Able to lift 40+ pounds.
